SIMPLY the easiest way to mount the new DirecTV AT9 5 LNB or AU9 SlimLine dish to your existing ground pole or to any pole currently installed for a DirecTV round or Phase III elliptical dish, a Dish Network Dish300, Dish500, Dish 1000 or a Voom dish. This adapter just snaps on any existing 1-5/8 or 1.66 inch pole and converts it to accept the new actual 2 inch mounting socket found on the DirecTV KA/KU dishes.

It is made from extruded high strength grey enhanced pvc polymer conforming to and exceeding UL514, UL94V-0, NEMA TC-2 (impact resistance) and ASTM D4396-92 standards. The material has been tested for 90 degrees Celsius (193 degrees F) continuous use and exposure to UV in direct sunlight. Its design life is 20 years+.

Using the adapter provides for a "rock solid" mount to the pole. The adapter has been manufactured to a close tolerance of 1-2 thousandths of an inch less than the typical 1-5/8” pole. Careful quality control has kept the adapter wall within .005 inches of concentricity between the outside and inside diameters. The adapter works like the chuck that holds a router bit on a router. There is nearly 100% contact on the inner surface of the dish mount and on the bushing to the pole. The three existing bolts on the dish mount are all that's needed. No drilling or additional bolts, screws or clamps are necessary.
