Follow this procedure to perform a warm boot on the Digital Satellite System (DSS) receiver.
Turn on the DSS receiver. On the front of the DSS receiver, press and hold the DOWN ARROW button. While holding the DOWN ARROW button, press the EXIT button. NOTE: The DSS receiver will turn off.
Release both buttons. NOTE: The DSS receiver will automatically turn on and reset.

Follow this procedure to perform a cold boot on a Digital Satellite System (DSS) receiver.
Turn off the DSS receiver. Unplug the power cord of the DSS receiver from the AC electrical outlet. Remove the DSS coaxial cable from the SATELLITE IN jack. Remove the VHF/UHF coaxial cable from the VHF/UHF IN jack. Remove the telephone cord from the TEL IN jack. Remove the Access Card from the DSS receiver. On the Access Card, clean the gold contact using a soft cloth or pencil eraser. Reinsert the Access Card into the DSS receiver. Plug the telephone cord back into the TEL IN jack. Reconnect the VHF/UHF coaxial cable to the VHF/UHF IN jack. Reconnect the DSS coaxial cable to the SATELLITE IN jack. Plug the power cord of the DSS receiver back into the AC electrical outlet. Turn on the DSS receiver.

How to perform an NVRAM reset. (ON THE SAT-HD300)
Follow this procedure to perform an NVRAM reset.
WARNING: There is a risk of data loss. Performing an NVRAM reset will erase all favorite and hidden channel settings. Turn on the Digital Satellite System (DSS) receiver. Turn on the television. Tune the television to the appropriate channel or video input to receive the DSS signal. On the front of the DSS receiver, simultaneously press the RIGHT ARROW and INFO button. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the NVRAM reset.

ERROR: You Have Inserted The Wrong Access Card or Insert Your Old Access Card is displayed from the satellite receiver.
Follow this procedure to troubleshoot these access card error messages.
On the satellite receiver remote control, press the MENU button. On the MAIN MENU screen, press the ARROW buttons to highlight SYSTEM , and then press the center SELECT button. Press the ARROW buttons to highlight SYSTEM TEST , and then press the center SELECT button. Press the ARROW buttons to highlight TEST , and then press the center SELECT button. After the test results are displayed, verify that the CAM ID number matches the access card number. If the access card fails, perform a cold boot procedure to reset the satellite system. NOTE: If the error remains, contact the service provider for a replacement access card.
