If you want to change a DB-9F 9-Pin female end to a DB-9M 9-Pin male end use this adapter.

The DB9 connector on the back panel of the Sony SAT-A2, SAT-A3, SAT-A4, SAT-A50 and SAT-A55 DirecTV receivers are all female. If you have a need to change that to a male end use this adapter.

Commonly used with data-port connections between DirecTV receivers and In-Motion satellite dishes like older KVH TracVision models.
